Hello Hello!!
Been a bit since I've updated and this one might be a little long..lot's of obversations that I want to write down..
First..had a great weekend, my rugby team won the first round of the playoffs for regionals by beating Greenville 50-29. I didn't play because I haven't been to practice in about two months but it was great to see all the guys and hang out.. and they played awesome! Great rugby! So, it's off to Mobile, AL to play Memphis.
Then, I spent a lot of time talking to my family last week. My Mom told me a ton of stories of growing up in New York and all the little trouble that she and her sisters and cousins caused. Sounds like they had a blast. She told me she and my Aunt used to play "Helen Keller" where one of them would close their eyes and the other would guide them around..lol..and my mom made her run right into a tree one time. And they used to put a leash on their cousin and make her walk around like she was retarded or something..hilarious..
And then yesterday, I ate dinner with my Grandma and looked at all her old pictures and listened to her rattle of tales of the good ol' days also. She was the 4th of 8 girls and one boy. and the boy is the 2nd youngest!! Poor bastard! But still funny as hell. She told me how she met my Grandpa and how her mother and father met and showed me super old pictures that are over a hundred years old. I'll tell you man, different times. My grandma was absolutely beautiful..and so were all her sisters. and she kept pointing out her chest and waist and saying how they all had perfect figures! lol..adorable. She's 92 now and will be 93 this summer. Amazing.
Sometimes, I think it would be better to live in those days. Everyone seemed more about each other and everything seemed so much more laid back. All the men used to play cards on Sunday and the women would drink wine and gossip. Everyone was always dressed up and always looked their best. I think women were much sexier back then. I don't know, I mean, how sexy is this?
Glorious..
But anyhow, maybe one day I'll scan some of the pics that she has and you guys can see it for yourself.
On another note, the Lightning and doing well and I bought tickets to Thursday's game. I don't know if they are going to win or not but it's so awesome to watch them play. They fought for every win in 2004 and I don't think this playoff run will be any different. Love it...
Have you ever looked at people as you drive around early in the morning? Here it is almost 0900 and I'm not usually up and about this early. But I had to stop by the office and I like to look at people on their way in to work. THey have that look on their face, like "what the hell am I doing?" It's not the robot look it's the "this fucking sucks" look. LOL..I'm glad I don't start work till later...at least most of the time.. People sure as hell are funny aren't they?
Well, I'm off folks..I had my coffee and played onthe computer..I think I'll go back to sleep before work. You folks take care!!
Fair winds...
