I've never been one for journaling, diaries, or blogs but I've decided that I'm going to give this a whirl because I feel like it might help me prioritize some things and get better at speaking what I feel. So for my first entry, I'm going to combine the last three Blog Homework topics.
12/20 Spreading Holiday Cheer: I'm not a huge cheer spreader, Christmas music is kind of like nails on a chalkboard to me... especially Santa Baby and I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas, puke. However, I do like to make fudge of various flavors for the holidays for my coworkers. I've done chocolate, white chocolate, peanut butter, chocolate with almonds, mint chocolate, and chocolate with peppermint. I enjoy experimenting with something different each year. This year it didn't happen, but I might do a late batch.
12/27 2020 Resolutions: While they aren't SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, & timebound) and are definitely cliche, getting more in shape and saving/budgeting better are a couple of my goals. Specifically, pay off motorcycle #2, which should happen within the next 4-6 months. My super, ultra, high-speed, stellar goal for 2020: Shoot and submit my first set to SG by the end of the year! Fingers crossed
1/3 Next Decade: Let me start by saying I'm not looking forward to crossing the 40y/o line, but that's at the tail end of the next decade. I am looking forward to seeing what sort of technological advances happen, specifically with video games and Nintendo. I was just an infant when the NES was released in the US. I rocked that system until the release of the N64, I had various GameBoys in between there, and it feels like I was playing my GameCube just yesterday... but that's probably because I actually did. PlayStation and XBox seem to have slowed a bit in their advances, pretty much the same system with better processing and different disk formats. While the Wii was significantly different from previous consoles, and the Switch even more so. Give me more Pokemon to catch and more incarnations of the Legendary Hero of the Triforce!
