Know what's funny? Because of my fresh tattoo, I had to wear a DRESS today, something loose that wouldn't rub against it. I look positively SEDATE and lady-like, like a *gasp* young soccar mom, albeit with piercings.

i wanted to get some back-work done for my first tat & my tattooist told me that it was ALOT for a first one. so i punked out & didn't do it lol. after experiencing that sensation though...i'd have to agree..it would have been a bit, BUT....some have a higher tolerance for intense sensation. i feel that you may be one of those people

i had a six hour tattoo that was split up into two sessions. yes, it hurts, i'm not going to lie, but no its probably not as bad as you think. good luck!!!

i got my first tat about a month ago. it was an AWESOME sensation. it was more or less a test for myself i guess. the pain of a piercing is over much to quickly, so it was hard to determine if my pain threshold was all that high or if the pain was so fleeting i didn't have the oppurtunity to process. but the tat turned out to feel awesome. i hope yours does too. can't wait to see it. you'll post photos, right?
& about your fam..i understand. i can relate. piercings are iffy here. they don't know about my tat. & my lifestyle would INDEED get me the boot lol. nice to see i'm in good company here lol
