Thank god for the cat. She's the feline version of Lassie.

My parents had a similar situation happpen to them last year. The hose going from the underneath the sink to their ice maker in the freezer broke and water was everywhere. The were out of the house at the time and didn't realize anything was wrong until they got home. Thankfully there wasn't a ton of damge done.
