The first 4 days of the new year are already in the books.
They could’ve been better, but they could’ve been worse. I think it’ll be easier to eat better when I’m back at work and have to pack lunches and stuff. And it’ll get me off my ass and being physically active again.
I’ve also only used my new juicer twice since I got it. I’ve tried making Mean Green (one of the juices featured in the documentary “Fat, Sick, And Nearly Dead”). It’s drinkable, but really not that great. I’m also kinda torn cuz I’d like to be using it a lot more, but juicing usually removes lot of the fibre from the fruits and veg. Lots of recipes include cucumbers and celery and those are veggies I’ll eat raw, as is. Same with apples and oranges. And a little bit of carrot too. So, I’m thinking I’ll try to use my juicer to juice things like kale and whatever other veggies I don’t eat raw and use the juice (instead of water) when I make smoothies.
I should also up my protein intake, lower my carbs, and really scale back on sugars. As well as be more active and then I’ll be dropping weight like crazy. Easy peasy, right? *sigh*
To add to all of this, I’m going to Florida in 32 days. Really hoping I can slim down a little before then. Wish me luck. I’ll need it.
