Do you think hip hop has lost a bit of it's funk? I think a lot of commercial stuff is more R&B laden than it used to be. I'm not mad at R&B, but I prefer the older true rhythm and blues stuff as opposed to pop R&B now.
I dig underground acts that can bring the boom bap and others that try to push the boundaries, but I miss the funk.
What are your thoughts?
