Standing on the beach has always made me feel so insignificant. I play a small role in the lives of those who care for me. Daughter, friend, lover. Fact is: I've never been comfortable with the spotlight. Fact is: the "fame" my loved ones have put on me is a facade. Fact is: I'm in love with being in love and in love with a sense of direction. I am not what everyone wants me to be. Daughter, friend, lover. I am merely light that has twisted and turned into a mirror image of youth incarnate. My selfishness is not what it's all cracked up to be. Everyone wants to talk about themselves. It's the "me, me, me" complex that was instilled since day one, but I'm the evil one because I am not ashamed to admit that I am spoiled and that I do want attention. I'm a part of the minority vagina population. Women may rule the world, but they do it with the hard fist of self-indulgence and dissipation. Fact is: I'm a control freak. Fact is: I can't stand to be told "no." Fact is: I have been born into a society where my female mind is what outweighs everyone else's reasoning.
