It was so hot yesterday that I went to the river to swim. Since it wasn't really deep I just sort of thrashed around. It was nice and cooling though. My dog had a fabulous time as usual.
Just the other day (I don't know why) I was thinking about how my Grandma always referred to her couch as a 'davenport.' What's so 'davenport' about a couch? So I asked some girls at work if they had ever heard a couch called by that name. No one ever had. The only other davenport I can think of is Davenport Iowa. Now it's funny to me because there is a new SG set called "davenport diva." I better go check it out.

Your feeling of empathy is probably quite proper. I think that, for me, once the individuals choose to take such risks, the comedy factor goes up one hundredfold.
