First of all, a selfie from the other day.
I'm at work right now, sitting in the autoclave "room", packaging and sterilizing jewelry, drinking apple pie rooibos sweetened with rock sugar. I should be studying for my psychology exam on Tuesday, but I can't bring myself to open the book. It's one of my favorite classes but it turns out I was a little overconfident in my ability to study while at work - the artificial lighting, the lack of fresh air, the constant interruptions, the distracting music... I'm a picky studier. It's not even psychology that I'm too concerned about being tested on, it's the midterms that follow shortly after - Anthropology (which is giving me an extremely hard time) and Geology (igneous rocks, anybody?) The composition of minerals is really mind-baffling when you haven't looked at the periodic table of elements in over 14 years. I wish I could appreciate science more, but it challenges me too much to... respect it! Haha.
Aside from my challenges with molecular genetics and hominid origins and mafic and felsic igneous rock formation and plate tectonics, University is going... okay. I'm really excited for this semester to be over so I can start some non-science courses next year (Philosophy, Intro to Social Work, and the first course related to my major - Communications 201.)
So, anybody watch the Br Ba finale?
It took me a few days to recover. I was so attached to that show, it was ridiculous! I was literally sitting on the carpet 6 inches away from the television screen the entire time last Sunday, hahaha. I thought it was an amazing ending!!
Going back to the topic of being at work, I am applying for a new position at a higher-end studio this Sunday... I've wanted to work there for a really long time, and they just posted a few job openings on their website this week. Wish me luck - I desperately need an upgrade!
Okay, see ya.
