So around 8:30am I start hearing noise in the house. I figure it's my brother moving around, and being half asleep, don't pay much attention. 15 minutes later I decide it's time to get up. Throw on a pair of shorts, grab my tooth brush, and head for the washroom.
Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnd.... there's a freaky senile old dude with one leg in a wheelchair in our living room.
Uh huh. Well, today is certainly promising to be interesting. I ask what he's doing here, he says he thought it was his apartment, and asks what house number it is. I inform him it's 173, he says he lives in 184. I offer to help him get back there. Now, this dude's skin is peeling off and he looks rather scabby, so I'm not really looking forward to that.
He asks if he can close the door and stay for a while. I guess he likes the air conditioning. I say no, he's gonna have to leave, and I ask if there's anyone I could call to come and get him. He says no, and he'll just leave, so I help him out the front door and down the three steps to the drive way. How the hell he got his wheelchair up the three rather large steps in the first place, I don't know.
So I go wake my brother and we search the house until we find the cat, just to be sure he wasn't let out by freaky old guy. Find him looking rather scared in one of the bedrooms.
A very very close friend of mine, one I've known practically since birth, is going in for heart surgery today. Won't hear from her for a week. Yup, today is gonna be interesting.
