Damn. I was told V for Vendetta was good, but just watched it tonight. Bloody amazing. Alright, so I am a bit of a rebel without a cause, and movies like that get me all riled up, but damn it was well done. So many points I'd like to comment on, but can't concentrate on, because the whole experience kinda touched me emotionally. Hit me right in my sense of responsibility... and drama.
i was thinking about my single, forlorn, tattoo tonight. The movie I was watching gave it a lot of context. I always shrug it off when people ask what it means. It's personal. It's... vague as all hell. I designed it in the throes of insomnia, and honestly, a lot of the time, it looks like cheap tribal junk to me. So many people have tribal tats anymore. Nothing special. At least mine didn't come from a cookie cutter wall though...
Maybe this isn't revelation to anyone else... but I was looking down at my right shoulder... it's fucking hot, so clothes are definitely optional here... and I realized while I don't often explain what it means to me, it means everything I believe in... everything that's important, and it'll be with me always, even when it fades and looks like shit. Even if it is shitty tribal, and it's got some holes in the fill, and some of the lines aren't as smooth as they should be, it's mine. Fucking right.
Alright, so that's pretty elementary, but it's nice to be reminded why I got it in the first place, when living in a town where the vast majority of people look down on it.
