Okay, it took a while ut finally I made it: an update!
In 3 weeks there'll be my exams. So I should study a lot.I try to reduce drinking until then as much as I can. We'll see...
My future is still unknown. Don't know what I'll gonna do after my exams and my diploma. But I know, some things will change in my life. Well, in the last few months, many things changed in my life. 2006 seems to be the year of change. But change isn't that bad I guess....
Yesterday I was on my first hardcore gig since a long time. I saw the CRO MAGS aka FEARLESS VAMPIRE KILLERS. I wasn't sure if it might be a fake or not. It was for sure that Harley Flanagan wouldn't appear but John "Bloodclot" Joseph did and Mackie. Supported by a guy from BIOHAZARD (a band I never cared about) and LEEWAY. Well, what can I say? They only played songs from their masterpiece "The age of quarrel". One of the best and most influental hardcore albums of all time. They played 'em all "Malfunction", "Hard times", "We gotta know"...plus a great cover of "Sailin'" from the gods - the BAD BRAINS! Wow, it was intense! That reminded me of what hardcore was - and why I don't care about most of todays hardcore bands. I felt as if I was that kid again, listening to early US hardcore all the time. CRO MAGS, MINOR THREAT, BAD BRAINS, BLACK FLAG, YOUTH OF TODAY, DAG NASTY. I still love this shit.
I took some photos, if they are good, I'll put 'em in my journal.
"All you hippies better start to face reality,
All your far fetched dreams of anarchy,
Better start to see things the way they are,
Cause the way things
Are going they won't be goin' far."
