I mean complete, 100%, USDA Grade A horseshit. It's as real as phrenology or dowsing. It was invented by ignorant, primitive, superstitious people who assigned meanings to points of light in the sky so as to feel connected to the heavens.
It's not even in the same class as, say, acupuncture, which does work - just... Read More

belief is the only thing that fuels our perception of the universe. it is far to vast and entropic, and we are so desperate for absolutes, that we will never really understand it.
"... which honestly makes it as valid as Catholicism, mathematics, or any other human attempt to explain the universe."
Well, yes for Catholicism and other religions, no for mathematics. Were mathematics as "real" as astrology, you wouldn't be able to read this, since there would be no computers and no Internet.

"Belief" is fine until it runs bang-on into reality. At that point, belief must give way to acceptance if one wishes to remain sane. One of the benchmarks of sanity is the ability to accurately perceive and process reality. We've had about 2500 years of astrology (going back to ancient Babylon) during which we've not seen one scrap of confirming evidence for either the theory or practice of it. Can the same be said for, say, chemistry or thermodynamics?
I'm no longer posting in the SG forums; just too much noise and "alterna-"nonsense for my liking.
Thanks to Repro, ELPH, Hula, Sean, RJ and others for the good debates.
I have to say, the SG photosets are increasingly boring. Yes, the girls are sexy and the photography is competent. It's just that for all the nekkidness and sex-talk, there's very little "heat" there.

Also, the photosets increasingly suck. Even when the SGs are sexy - as they usually are - the poses and themes are tiresome. For all the nekkidness and sex-talk, there's very little "heat" here.
As I am both keeping a LiveJournal and working on my own 'blog, I don't have time for more of these entries. Also, writing everything in duplicate strikes me as contrary to the convenience that the 'Net was supposed to bring us all.
Therefore, please check my LiveJournal from now on, There will be no more comments here.
A therapist (or a prison guard, I forget) once told me to work out my feelings through comedy.
Accordingly, in response to the worst episode of X-Play in the history of the world, I give you this:

"Damn! We remake Extended Play into X-Play to capture that crucial 12-16 yr old demographic,... Read More
