Valentines Day .
It's been 6 years since I've had some sort of meaningful realationship around this time of year. The only girl that ever gets the call is my mom. It was a pretty good day none the less, work was same ole same ole. Went to Bossanova's for a drink earlier this evening. Good times.
I feel like I should have some movie marathon every 14th of Feb; High Fidelity, Singles and Purple Rain. I'm a sucker for a good love story. I guess I can relate to the underdog so well, being a nice guy and all. Just that the underdogs in those movies aren't really real underdogs. If it wasn't so late, i'd watch Say Anything .
Buying my ticket to NYC tomorrow. Have mixed feelings about this trip. Last time I was in NYC was Feb. of '00. Was trying to patch things up with an ex at the time. Didn't go well and since then I've had no desire to return to the city, but a good friend from school lives there and she's been nagging me for the past 4 years to come and visit. So I gotta do it. And I'm not looking foreward to the cold either. Hope there is a good show going on that weekend, that is the one thing I truly miss about the city, always something to do. I probably better off not being there though, I'm happy about the time I spent there and the experience of living there, but I don't think I could still be doing it now. It's like Atlanta, but at 15. I don't miss the rush mentality of the city, I like things a little slower...if that makes sense.
I am going to try and hit Wo Hop while I'm there, I miss great Chinese. Need to buy some cheap sunglasses in Times Square and find some good music at Mondo Kim's.
I'm not the baddest, but I know i've got potential.

Ian Williams is on the right in the front. The scene is in the record store and he is looking through the racks.
