Id love to stay in a log cabin. Like a really traditional one with no electric, and miles away from other people. Surrounded by empty woods with just a fireplace and simplistic natural furniture . I find the thought of just being with someone and having no distractions or modern technology quite refreshing. Failing that, a super modern one, with a hot tub and a grand solid oak staircase!
Camping is something I miss. I used to go at least every 2-3 months. We used to do it the real way, army issued bivvy tents, mess tins and flat packed meals. Although I think Id upgrade to a gas cooker hexxy bloz are a nightmare to light! I miss waking up outdoors as the sun rises, and having the whole day ahead.
Sea life centres, ALWAYS sea life centres! I love jellyfish, I could, and have spent hours just watching them swim. I find them beautiful and mesmerizing. Or to visit an area of the world were they swim near to the shore and I could paddle in the sea with them.
I love theme parks, from the teacups to the rollercoasters, I love rides. Im one of those people who forgets all logic when I become to excited, and run towards the water rapids or log flume as my first ride, and them walk around drenched for the rest of the day. Im also one of those people who will drag everyone on the kids rides, just because I have no shame.
Staying in hotels and B&Bs have something about them. I love staying over night in new places. I think I love the quant, yet tacky experience in hotels. I actually enjoy checking in, and those flimsy little swipe cards you get for your room, that will inevitably look exactly the same as every other hotel room youve stayed in. I even like the bible in the bedside dresser, even though Im not religious.
Skiing please! God I want to go skiing so badly! I want to wear those ridiculously unattractive goggles, and ride the ski lifts! I think Id suck at it big time, but I just really want to try and Id probably spend most of my time drinking coco and riding the ski lift over and over!
My dream is to ride in a hot air balloon. I love sunsets, nearly as much as sunrises, but to have a view of an area from hundreds of feet in the air would be amazing. I guess thats some peoples worst fear?
To ride in this would even better!
Some day, I hope sooner than later, I want to hike through the rain forest. Need I say why? I wouldnt call myself a needy person, but I find it hard traveling on my own. I could never go backpacking on by myself. I admire people that can, I love traveling, but sometimes find it hard to find people who want to experience the same places in the same way as I do. But hiking through the rainforest, I could do solo any day.
In general I love traveling. Whether its in a car, on a train or a plane, I find it relaxing, which I guess most people would find alien, as the majority find traveling stressful. Its when I do most of my thinking.
