Man, have we had a good weekend so far! Full of movies and stuff. First, on thursday we bought farenheit 9/11 and watched it! i didn't realize how powerful it could be! the patriot act blows man. BLOWS
then on friday, after dinner at my parent's with my sister and niece, who still haven't noticed the tattoo on my wrist that i've had for 2 months now, we saw I <3 Huckabees and it was awesome too! Full of Philosophy and a blatant stab at urban sprawl and companies like target.
saturday we rented mean girls. I loved it! so did ryan! it was just so...funny...and pink...and hilarious in such a weird way. i got ryan drunk during it and took advantage of him later!
today, ryan's friend Vietly came over because she was in town visiting her family. she works in LA as a web designer for people like tracey lords and alexandra paul! we saw the movie "Saw" and man, was that weird. i expected texas chainsaw massacre and came out with something much more twisted. it was very intense. no comic relief at all. i liked it though. so did everyone else. we had a good time talking about it over pizza at dewey's.
i also started to watch going up river on friday, but had to leave because i had class. they showed it for free in the University center, because jennifer aniston paid to have it shown. brandon fraser and paul newman and cheryl crow came to speak as well. i've had such a celebrity filled week. i'm so glad to be a student at such a great time! i hope i get to stay in academia my whole life so that i can have the opportunity for stuff like this!
