Just posted some new art in the artsy fartsy folder.
Here's Back Alley Nurse.
This is Angel of Freedom.
They look better in person. They might not look too shocking but they are subtle enough to perhaps get the point across. Shock art sucks. Long live the Stuckists.
More are coming up...one inspired by my favorite Clash song of all time, "Guns of Brixton" and another by sexy flapper women in general. Those are going to be huge so there might be smaller ones first until I get $$ for art supplies.
Flappers are the ultimate icon for women because they represented the freedom of that awesome era...to vote, work, dance, cut our hair, hike up our skirts, drink in pubs, be sexual, listen to jazz and live in a day and age full of expectations and possibilities. The original punk chick. This is the kind of woman the religious right wants to murder and the kind of woman I want to worship in my work.
In addition......listen to King Crimson. My beaux calls my lovely prog rock noisy geek obsession... "Pots and Pans" music. Funny, he's a hardcore boy and noise isn't alien to him, but KC makes him cover his ears. I sent for a concert series from Netflix and he actually liked it, seeing them live. He even fought with me over who was the dominant drummer...Pat Mastelotto or Bill Bruford. I play a dumb broad but really..........I'm a damned geek.
And Bill Bruford is the King of percussion. He played w/ Gene Krupa for cryinoutloud. I love Gene Krupa and Neil Peart but fuckme if this guy can't do what he does in his sleep....
Tony Levin......need anyone drool anymore than they must???
If you appreciate hardcore musician-SHIP than listen to these guys. The passion is there and it must be heard.

Fourth, you are 35 -- yippee! I'm 34! I love to meet someone so cool that's my age that hasn't caved into the "track home living/soccer mom" mentality - hooray!
Fifth, we like so many of the same things... Fishbone, DK Murphys, Spongebob, Insomniac, women, strippers and I can go on some more.
Next... thanks for the fantastic tip on Guylain Belgium Shell chocolates - I simply MUST try them!!
And I can't forget... the wonderful Dayva - I love her so and am so happy to know her!!
Sooooo... WONDERFUL to meet you and hope we get to talk again soon! You rock!
