i like to think that i'm thankful for having had the chance to have known the person, and for the memories and experiences they brought into my life. death is a part of life and loss is hard, but think about what your life would have been like had you never met your grandfather.

I know you feel. For years I has tried to prepare myself for the death of my grandfather, who ever since I was born had suffered very bad health.

He died when I was 19, it was a terrible time for me, I felt I had lost the most important father figure in my life. But I won't lose my memories of him.
