The I have nothing to talk about but want to update journal entry!
Your about to be bored (maybe).
How to make a car door handle!
Step one: There are 3 main plastic parts.
1) The Handle
2) The Housing (holds parts)
3) The Locknob
All these parts are made at are plastic machines. The machines run at about 300 degrees so the parts are fucking hot when you get them (so they burn the shit out of you, even with 2 pairs of gloves on). They make about 4 parts every 30 seconds or so. The operater at the machine takes the parts and cuts off any extra plastic ("flash") then sparates them from left and right parts. While looking for anything that might be bad (scratchs or anything else).
Bored yet. No!!!
Ok next the housing and handle go to the assembly line. The Locknobs go to people who put red inserts in them (the red part that tells you if the door is locked or not). Then they go to the assembly line.
The 1st person on the line puts the locknobs and the handles on these little pallets that take the parts through the robots . A spring gets put in then a locklever (part that lets locknob move). Then it goes to another person who puts the housing and a seal (a rubber part to keep water out) on them. More 's that put a metal pin in them to hold it all together! Then the seal gets melted to the housing by another . Clips get put into the handle and the locklever. A picks the part up and puts it on a convayor belt. A person then picks it up and puts in two metal rods. They put 18 parts in a box then send it back to ME!!! I then certify the part (make sure it works and theres no defects). Put back into the box and ship it to GM.
The End...
Is anyone still awake? If so have a good night!!!
