This a song from Where the Wild Things Are. One of the best movies I've seen this year. I think it's a good thing I haven't seen it when I was a kid, it would have made me even more depressed and fucked up than I am now. Seriously I have never seen a "kiddie movie" where every character is totally flawed, with apparently no exit for their issues etc...
It reminded me myself from times to times as I was escaping through my games and my imagination the fact that I was locked up in my bedroom cause I couldn't go outside. My parents wouldn't let me but I can't blame them, back then, we lived in a neighborhood without anything to do in the area, they wanted to protect me, no grudge against them for that. I think I developed my imaginative muscle back then with my toys and the stories I made up for them.
It's also a great movie about feelings and how to deal with them. Jealousy, anger, melancholy, loneliness, everything is there. The character feels all that and passes from the most intense distress to the biggest euphory. Every Wild Thing resonates with a feeling, a mental disorder or a character that is in Max's real life and everything resonates in his imaginary world, it's very "ludique" trying to find out what's what and who's who, very stimulating. I also think it's a great movie about depression and it's aimed at kids. If he wanted to drive them to suicide then Spike Jonze is my hero.
Proof that it's a great movie : I wept three or four times, especially this beautiful and so true/real sequence where Max destroys something he made for his sister out of rage against her and then realizes what he has just done. Told like that I look gay but it's very powerful, fuck you
It was really sad even if the ending is a breath of fresh air, it's still a rather gloomy and bleak movie.
I want to see it again. And again. And again.
And see the darker version Jonze shot first and he had to reshoot because Warner Bros thought it was too dark and gritty.
And write a proper review of it for my blog, in french, yeah the movie was THAT fascinating, it deserves to be amongst my reviews of 90210 and New Moon.

#10 FAILS OF THE YEAR
My big epic love story, would have liked to just make a truce/bigbigbreak but I think I buried it and pulled the plug anyway it's complicated as Facebook would say. And private life is called that for a reason, to remain private so, sorry stalkers, I'm done with talking about it here, it's not a blog, whaddayathinkin' ?

Getting rejected by every schools I applied to, guess I've been too cocky, especially at the university where I said they were the ones that should write me a letter to get me to stay with them. That's what happens when you listen to too much rap music.

Having done almost nothing from january to may except reading a lot, writing a lil' bit and going to the movies while finishing my cinema licence. I graduated. Semi-fail. Oh but total fail for having written DA webseries for months and it's still not shot/seeable. But soon, ooooh very soon. I can't wait. I'm so excited, I'm like "aaaaaaaaaaah". For real.

Still not having my driver's license. I passed the theoric exam but I hate driving so I haven't been to driving lessons since late July. But seriously, I hate driving, I'm frightened when I drive. When I tell you I'm a girl, it's no bullshit.

Eating so unhealthily, I happen to think it's a miracle I haven't already had a heart attack. Profit of me now, I won't be around in ten years if I keep living that way. I'm like a straight-edge of shitty food. But I still don't drink, don't smoke and don't do drugs.

Being a professional asshole. Okay it's really funny, I love being that guy, it's me, I'm a natural born hater but it hurts people. Never realized that before that year. I had my Disney moment a few weeks ago but still no redemption. One day maybe ? Will somebody save me ? Do I really need to be saved ?

The Black Eyed Peas, Flo Rida, Timbaland, David Guetta and associates. You're killing music with your shitty electro stuff. Oh and Birdy Nam Nam. Way to bust my balls about somoething I literally had to listen : it was noise (at best).

Michael Bay for not doing Bad Boys III but Transformers III instead. Megan Fox is still young, Will Smith won't get younger by 2013.

Pixar. Fails everytime I see their new trailers, didn't disappoint this year. You had to make the fuckin' dogs talk one way or another.
