I'm not gonna lie. Life has been hard. The times in my life when I was the happiest have turned out to be lies. I have been married twice, and devastated by each time. My life has been one big fight. I've fought my entire life to be my true self, refusing to compromise or be forced to fit into society's little box. I spent years working in factories because no one else would hire a long haired guy with a pierced ear. In 2002, I went back to school and managed to become a licensed medical professional. I was fortunate enough to have a teacher who saw past my exterior, and saw my true potential. I went to work as a Medical Laboratory Technician, identifying microorganisms and the antibiotics that would kill them. After my second wife cheated on me, I was fortunate enough to get hired by the college I graduated from as an instructor in my field. I receive much satisfaction from being able to help others change their lives the way my teacher helped me change my life. But most other areas of my life have continued to be a challenge. I faced down a melanoma 10 years ago, and recently was diagnosed with a second one. I shared this on SG, and received much support from several awesome people, including the amazing @rambo. Also among these people was someone with a truly golden heart. @kaliva has been a great source of encouragement, and took the time to include me in a special number of people that she took the time to send some very special gifts. I could never describe how much it has meant to me to have someone send me messages and show compassion to me that has never even met me. Everyone that left a comment has touched my heart, but she went above and beyond by sending me a special package.
I won't show everything that she sent because I don't want to make anyone jealous, but I am truly amazed at her genuine generosity and kindness towards me. It's been far too long since anyone has made me feel so special. Thank you @kaliva from the bottom of my heart. You give me renewed hope for a world that so often lacks compassion.
You have my undying support, and I anxiously await your debut set shot by the amazingly talented and beautiful @lady. As you already know, I'm certain you can't lose with your beauty and her talented eye.
