Such an amazingly beautiful place. I started off in Edinburgh, and toured Edinburgh Castle. The next
day I headed to Pitlochry and stayed in the Atholl Palace Hotel. Such a beautiful place with lots of walking trails and a nearby distillery. From there I moved on to Inverness and a tour of Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle. Also stopped and took a tour of Cawdor Castle and the beautiful gardens there. Loving history, you just can't lose in this country. Then I moved on to Oban, where I did an all day three island tour of Mull, Iona, and Staffa.
Too much beauty to comprehend. Staffa is so amazing, with the caves, and the adorable little birds called Puffins
that will come right up to you. No humans live on the island. It was bought in 1986 as a gift for this dude's wife on her 60th birthday, but she didn't want it so he donated it to the country. From there I headed to Stirling, and stopped along the way in Elderslie, the birthplace of Scottish hero William Wallace.
Then went on to Stirling Castle and the William Wallace National Monument. There is kept the actual sword of William Wallace, 5' 6" long. Climbing 246 steps to the top, you can see where the Scots defeated the English cavalry at the Battle of Stirling.
Just a brief rundown of what I did. Not to mention all the awesome beer and whiskey they have there. And plenty of good food. The only thing that could have made it better would have been getting to meet a lovely Scottish SG, but I'm not that lucky.
