I just think when people include it in their definition of life, .. I worry that they're getting too video-game-definition with it. Which is a problem people have .. desensitizing to the concept of death, and the finality. You die, and it sucks so much, and then other things happen. In various pop culture references. And so that is how I hear that phrase. And when people toss it out lightly and with a shrug. I wonder if they ever pause to apply gravity.
Not to be a downer, because who cares, and whether or not anyone ever pauses, they'll die just the same. HOWEVER. That's the point of the phrase in the end. That's how I read -that- one. "Remember you must die." Apply gravity.
I'm aware that it's inevitable. But it's nothing to be macho about. It's a fucking thing.
