bad, bad weekend (or mostly Saturday night)...I had a run in with someone I haven't seen in 5 years, count them 5 fucking years! He's not even supposed to be in this state. He is one of the reasons I left my lovely hometown of Las Vegas in the first place.
Well our first hello after 5 years was him sucker punching me in the back. I was so glad it wasn't a straight on kidney punch. Going into fight mode I immediately grabbed for whatever was dangling nearby and broke two of his fingers. He then kicked me in the knee and I now have a wicked bruise all along the side of it. I then elbowed him in the face. All of this happened so fast that my friends barely noticed what was going on before we were both sitting on the ground holding our injured body parts. He was physically removed from the club, screaming, by some of his friends. In case you couldn't tell...we did not part on the best of terms all those years ago. He was my first "real" boyfriend and the second man to break my some of my ribs...(sigh)
He tells me he lives here now, arrived about 2 months ago and we've already run into eachother...not good. Fuck having something in common with those you date, next time I'll get someone I have an icecubes chance in hell of seeing again after the party is over.
I sit here at work, licking my wounds, glad he didn't get a face shot, wondering when we will have the pleasure of meeting again. Nobody has asked me why I'm walking funny today. I think they are afraid of the answer they'll get. I have a little black cloud hanging over my head shadowing everything I do and today that cloud has a face. I'm wrapping up here. I think when I get home I'll write some sad poetry and ice my knee. What an exciting evening!
I think I'll also contemplate what other nightmares could make a sudden return into my life.
