We're going to see Living Color tonight. Saw them about a year ago in DC and they were great. Tonight's gig is in a smaller club and it should be a really great show. Doug Wimbush plays bass with them regularly now and he is an awsome musician, but then all the old On-U guys are about as good as it gets. Long Live Tackhead.
The problem with the show, however, is the venue's lazy box office policy. We went down twice yesterday to buy tickets and never managed to score. The first time was at 8:15 and the doors weren't open yet and they told us they wouldn't be open until 9:00. So we came back about 10:15 and the fucking box office was already closed -- it closed at 10:00. Shit, only open one hour and they wonder why ticket sales are slow. Pinheads.
As excited as I am to see them, I also kinda expect to get there and be told that the show is sold out, despite the fact that they said there were lots of tickets last night.
Aaarrgh.
I'll update later and give my review.
But still, fucking aaargh!!
