The wifey and I went to see She Wants Revenge last night, at Roseland. They were really tight and really good. The crowd gave them an overwhelmingly positive response and they responded in kind. Their sound was crisp and the drummer drove them like a Mack truck. They said it was the best time they'd had in a long time. I think I believe them.
The encore featured a wonderful cover of Depeche Mode's "Stripped" and a sing along finale, of their big hit.
I stood a couple feet behind my wife so I could watch her dancing her ass off. To my left were a pair of women who looked like and danced like strippers -- including one of them down on her knees and shit. After a few minutes they found a couple of guys to grind against. A good time was had by all.
Roseland has become my favorite venue in Portland, for sure. We saw Ministry there a month ago and they tore the place down. And a while ago we saw a great show by Living Color -- IN THE BAR. Watta town.
