For only the second time in almost three years as a member of SG, I got a thank you from one of the Girls for commenting on her set. How nice. How refreshing.

Especially when you consider that I just got back from the DMV. Aaarrgh!

I thought I saw the long absent SG Marie waiting at a crosswalk in Portland recently. She's pretty distinctive looking and I recognized her immediately, even though I was driving my car at the time.

Or maybe it was another case of evil tattoo theft. Perhaps some Marie wannabe has copied her fascade and made it her own.

Nah, I still think it was Marie....

Well, despite my paranoia about getting tickets, we sailed into the Living Color show without even a security search.

It was just fucking amazing. We'd seen them about two years ago and it was a good show, but I had left the gig feeling like they hadn't done their absolute best. It was a really good performance, but they didn't seem to be having too...

We're going to see Living Color tonight. Saw them about a year ago in DC and they were great. Tonight's gig is in a smaller club and it should be a really great show. Doug Wimbush plays bass with them regularly now and he is an awsome musician, but then all the old On-U guys are about as good as it gets. Long Live Tackhead....

Drank too much and played some pool on Friday. Proved to myself that I suck at pool. Handling a cue isn't one of those activities that you can put away for a decade or two and then pick up with the same level of skill. Hah. Can you say embarrassing? Of course you can.

I haven't been feeling too well lately. Something just doesn't feel...

Went to OpenSpace in downtown Portland on Friday for a couple of bands and a suspension performance by Mark Batty. It was kinda long and slow, but you got to love seeing folks with three foot long skewers through their shoulders and hips and thighs, etc.. And it is always fun to watch girls hanging from hooks -- artistically, of course.

The Fourth was a...

Thanks for the Sargent tip. Suspensions, "Blade Runner," and Gibson... you sound like someone I'd wanna have a drink with when I get to pdx.

My wife and I have found a local bar in walking distance that we have adopted as our own. Everybody needs a local. This one is actually a pool hall, but that is only a plus. The employees are all twisted freaks and they welcomed us as their own. Oh, and the food is unbelievably good.

Definitely the best food I've ever had in a...

Some times I wonder if I was destined to be a part of this site. I seem to be missing the proper clues: an SG expresses what I consider distress and I respond sympathetically and then they complain that it was a joke and anybody who thought different is obviously a joke, too.

Or: I make a joke in response to a posting, only to...
