I almost got killed today! It was a fun experience...
My cycle route home from work is fairly safe, except for one pretty dodgy roundabout at the top of a hill. It freaks me out a little bit every time I ride across it, because people often don't actually look before pulling out... which is exactly what happened today! I was halfway across when some muppet slammed into the side of my bike.
Luckily the car was going at a fairly slow pace, and I managed to stay on the bike (not without using the car's bonnet as an impact zone for my leg though...), give the motorist a silently mouthed 'what the fuck?' and get off the roundabout before some other mentalist tried to mow me down.
What made it even more annoying was that I was wearing my super-sexy highvis cycling jacket! It's not exactly subtly coloured... (note: the cute lady isn't me )
To the driver's credit, she did pull off the road and get out to check I was OK - I think she was more shocked at her lapse in judgement than I was hurt.
Made it the rest of the way home without incident and consoled myself with a nice cup of tea.

Thanks! They're all film - just jpegs I get from the lab when they're processed, so I can't tweak them much. I need a scanner and PS!
