A day of tranquility... and loneliness. Walking through the botanical gardens at Wisley was how I spent this day and as the snow fell in thick fluffy flakes I felt as if I were wandering through an enchanted forest. I made my way to the mysteriously designed glasshouse and ventured in to witness the exotic butterfly collection they currently have there. It was a wonderful moment that transported me to distant lands, memories and thoughts as the stifling heat pounded down in the simulated tropical environment and butterflies of all shapes, sizes and colours fluttered lazily through the air almost always within touching distance. The romance of the moment made me long for company... filled me with a desire to share what I was experiencing. The experience of the day has enriched and enlightened me but has left me forlorn, lost and hopelessly longing for you.
