tear up?
-thinking of
potential loss
gain
sprain
-repose of
father, mother
(there's no propitiousness
in this resolve, refrain)
-birth of
children
their love born
their grandchildren
-thinking of
no loss of innocence
guile's absence
(a mercy seat, here
prompts a grin)
-my own
mortality swallowed
immortality not mattering
suicide's failure, arrives,
full circle
-word's silence
heard
haply, beatific
(karmic providence,
choir's laughter, 'ha, ha, ha')
-hearing, at last,
divinity say,
'I'm sorry,' and --
me too...
Ever
tear up?

*This piece has been being worked out, coming forth over this past year, the process of certain things from many years, all lived out - right now. For me, the notion of a reality that all is lived out in the present, now, whether the ideas of pastand future or memories and anticipations, this has brought a certain liberation. No presumption or triumphant claims, just a certain gratefulness for this star shinning in the daylight, today I am thankful.
