Been back in Portland for a couple weeks now. Came back to a house where 6 once lived, to 2 straglers. One leaves tommorow back to Connecticut for good. My other closet dwelling friend is relocating to the other east coast house in Portland to change the scenery before he leaves for Europe in a couple months. So TheOldOne is in his car as you read this driving his ass across the country alone to live with me this year. A couple other local studs are also relocating to this house ASAP. I'm pretty excited for the change. One of many upgrades for this upcoming year.
By monday I should have my new powerbook ( of which there will be 4 in this house... we are sheep.) Still, I feel as gitty as a child on christmas eve.
I went surfing for the first time ever yesterday... It's fun, but pretty hard. I got schooled a few times, but had a few good rides too. I've never cramped so bad in my entire life though. That's seriously saying something for me. I'm sore as hell but want to do it a lot more. Probably not until the friend who took me gets back from Bali in a month though. Lucky fucker.
I've skated more since I got back into town than I did all summer where I had sick parks right outside my door. Still don't know where the motivation came from. Maybe it was the Bones Brigade Video Tunes CD that just came out stirring extremely fond memories of my younger years.
I've been recently fixing up houses with my landlord for extra cash, but got full time status for filming this winter with Finger On Da Trigger Productions (Yes... Very "Yo" Dawg. Nawmean? Word.) Details still in the works, but I'm really psyched. New camera... salary... travel budget... maybe a snowmobile. BooYeah! ha.
Interpol tommorrow thanks to my southern sweetheart. Gotta visit my northern one pronto.
Captured! By Robots play on wednesday. This band is fucking rad! This geek dude built robots to play as his back up band. It will slay.
So glad to be back here in Portland. The east coast adventure was fun for sure though. Parents, old friends, hot sex, and an eating tour like no other. I gotta get back to NYC again this year. That place is amazing. And although I didn't go south enough to see the knife doesn't mean I won't someday. I miss Disneyworld too.
Oh yeah... for some reason I was on a movie ordering kick while travelling and came back to almost 30 videos and DVD's I've been trying to get my hands on for years. Life is good... and wicked busy... could be the lack of structure and routine... but maybe that's why it's good.
