So here I am with an update from the past weekend. Once again, I had one of the best weekends ever. My girl Saveme came to see me late Friday afternoon. It was so awesome, as things were electric from the second I opened the door. After some catching up and much needed closeness, I told her to hit the showers and I hit the kitchen to make us some dinner. I felt bad as I twitched and spilled in a little too much rice wine vinegar, but things worked out alright.
After dinner we got ready and headed out to see They Might Be Giants! Oh, but before getting into show details, I really should mention how incredible Saveme looked that night. ROWR!
So, the show. I have no idea who the opening act was, but he was the musical equivalent of bringing your ugly friend out on the town with you. He was so bad that TMBG could have put on the worst show ever and it still would have been enjoyable. Luckily for us though, they came out and played a fantastic set. They played for almost two hours, and then came out for three encores. They were really funny, and they sound great live. Oh! Funny little side note, Saveme and I each have a TMBG song on our phones for one another's ringtones, and they played both of them at the show! I'm sure that means nothing to the rest of you, but I thought that was pretty neat.
It was a bit of an early night after getting back from the show, and a long, lazy morning in bed on Saturday. Eventually we got up, and I made us a nice, balanced breakfast of french toast, eggs and bacon. Actually, Saveme made me another delicious over-hard egg.
Then it was time to take a shower (which was beautiful and relaxing), and onward to some Guitar Hero. Truth be told, she could use a little work on her toy guitar shredding, but I'm sure with some practice under my tutelage, she'd be ripping it up in no time.
Then it was getting to be three o'clock, and time for her to go. So we started taking some pictures, trying to capture something of what was left of our time together. Despite the solemn knowledge of her impending departure, we managed to keep a sense of humor about us. Be aware, the following picture reveals my true handsomeness.
I know I'm not exactly a looker, but damn, I had no idea how much worse it could get. She of course somehow manages to still be adorable.
Then we headed outside, took some more pictures, and realized it was a beautiful day outside, and there was no way we could not spend it together. So after some rearranging, we headed down to the waterfront and just had a pleasant walk.
We walked, then decided to get some Chinese for dinner, watched some Gilmore Girls on DVD, then played Boggle until around 12:30. Realizing it was so late, we decided to stop, had a nice long talk whilst I administered a hopefully satisfying and rejuvenating massage and then caught just a few Zs before we had to get up at four to send Saveme back to her home. It was a sad, sad thing to see her drive off into the sunrise, especially since I didn't know when she would be coming back. I hope it's soon. Whenever it is though, it's not soon enough.
While the past two days had been awesome, Sunday sucked. I was feeling a bit lonely, and then there was a series of events that brought the whole day down. One of the more notable being the demise of my sunglasses. I have really sensitive eyes, and I really kinda need them to see outside during the day. RIP, shades.
I hope all of you had wonderful weekends, as well as the upcoming week. I'll be waiting patiently to see my girl again.
Take care!

I totally just want to go shout it out the window. I think I may just go do that. Let me know if you hear me.
