i looked into the copy editor positions posted on jobmonster, or monsterjobs or whatever it is, and the stupid thing is that the ones that are right up my alley say that you need to be able to attend some of the scheduled meetings, and they are all in ohio, or new york. ridiculous.
so i applied to a couple of jobs in the city down from us, bangor. working in special needs places, for disadvantaged youth. basically troubled, neglected kids. and one was for a Family Integration Specialist. though my intention is to actually be a PAYED writer, all my work background is working with children. i'v done so much of it that my resume doesn't have a single thing on it that isn't working with kids. sort of limiting, eh?
