Howdy y'all!
I suppose it's time for a new post. I've finished some new art, and it'll be a while before I get a chance to do more. So I may as well post it now, yeah? First up is a fake show poster design. I like to do them from time to time. It's a nice break from some of the other stuff I do. Changing up my style keeps me from getting bored, and I've found it's key to keeping my motivation up!
Then late...late last night, I finished a portrait of the terribly interesting Miranda. I couldn't help but want to paint her. I really hope she'll like it, as I also have a great deal of respect for her as an artist.
So aside from the painting, I've been quite busy at work, which hasn't left me as much time as I'd like to do my own thing. On the plus side though, last night we got a sweet Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo arcade machine in my office. So now when I have a long day, I can get my puzzle on for a few minutes before going home.
I also finally broke down and got a Costco membership. The reasons are twofold. First, I need to save money, and one way to do that is buy what I can there and just repackage things for freezing. God, I guess that really makes me an adult. Second, and I suppose in direct contrast, I've been saving up for a new TV. Costco had just the one I wanted, not to mention they took back my projector, which I've had for a year, for a full refund to put towards the new TV. I had to buy the new set online, but it should be here Tuesday. I'm psyched. I can't wait to get my little theater back in order. I'm broke for a while. Quite a while probably, but it'll be okay. I'll still be able to pay my bills and everything, I just won't be getting anything else for a while. Maybe all my old movies and games will look new again on the new TV?
So, tonight I'm making chili to bring to my girlfriend this weekend. She's dogsitting, and I'm going to go hang out with her, so I thought I'd make us something so we don't have to worry about cooking at someone else's house. Plus I've been wanting to make some more chili for a while. After that I'm going to work on my girlfriend's Valentine's day present. I'll probably be working on that next week too. I'll get it done in time though, no problem.
