Hey y'all.
So, I have still been feeling the urge to paint, despite the demise of my tablet, so I've comandeered the one from my office so as not to squander this time of motivation. I'll stil lhave to get my own when I can afford it, but this is working for now.
So the first painting this week is of my very good friend from Poland, Ewa. She's a super cool lady, and despite the fact that my painting doesn't even begin to do her justice, I think she's very beautiful.
This second painting, which I finished in the wee hours of this morning, is of my girlfriend. To be honest, things haven't been going well with us lately, and it looks as though there is an ending on the horizon. It's not a solution I'm happy with, but it appears that there is no other route. Our futures are just headed in different directions. I'm not sure when it's going to happen, but we both know it's coming, and I know for me at least that it's just a little too hard right now to say it, and in so doing taking it from probability to fact. It's a very sad thing for me, and it hurts, a lot, to be completely truthful.
I did this painting though because I wanted to paint her at least once before the end. I wanted to give her something special. It's just a lot of pressure to paint someone who you love, and know inside and out. There are so many things that I want to capture, and really convey. I don't think I was completely successful, and I think there are some things in it that came out on an unexpected level. I guess it sort of shows the death of things.
So I guess that's it for now. I hope you enjoy the paintings, and for those of you in relationships, I hope that things are well with you, and if they are, that you appreciate it.
Take care, all.

I have never been to Vermont, so I do not know what your Winter is like, but I recommend lots of hot cocoa and soup. Oh, and hugs. Yes.
