Dennis asked me if I wanted to go with him to see Dean Dirg at AZ Aachen and I agreed. So off to Aachen we went. Also with us: Ron. Dennis claimed that it usually takes 30-45 minutes to get there and I laughed in his face. No way you'll ever make it in 30 minutes. I was proven correct: It took 50 minutes to get to Aachen! Even though we already were kinda late, the doors had no opened yet and barely 15 people were waiting outside. It was cold and quite some wind chill, so we went back to the car. 20 minutes later we entered the venue and it was already filled with a lot of people, God knows where they all came from all of a sudden. Entrance was 5 Euro only, good thing. Now there's one thing I absolutely hate about that place: In order to show how punk these guys are they replaced Coca Cola with some really shitty Cola. Not even one of the "less evil" other brands.. no they chose the one that is made by some cooperative and its absolutely disgusting! If you'd offered the p0nx a beer of this 'quality' they'd kick your head in within minutes. Yeah keep drinking your quality brand beers, as if breweries were actually social responsible companies! Fucking double-standards!
The opening band sucked, totally boring 77-style punkrock, and they kept playing forever and ever. We went to the back of the room, looking through the resellers record-collection, putting up posters for future shows in Bonn and talked. It took until like 11p.m. for Dean Dirg to finally taking over the stage. Do they have a new guitar player? Or is this guy just filling in for the other guy? Dunno. I went to the front to snap some photos. DD put on a good show. At the beginning it was weird, because there were only two people singing along during the first songs. Me and some other guy. So I got the mic pointed at me so sing:

Other remarkable moments included the singer taking a chair and sitting down. The next thing was the bass player kicking the chair and the guy hitting the stage hard. ouch!

There was crowd surfing:

And this photo has some weird sexual feeling to it, doesn't it?

Oh so the band played short and impressing, ending the set with a Black Flag cover. Hands down "Nervous Breakdown" is one of the best songs ever!
I drove the car back home, used Dennis' bathroom real quick and went to bed.
End of story.
