Today made it a grand total of 22 years and boy, did year number double-deuce get off to a shaky start . . . I woke up late with a cold in my head and a heavy doubt in my heart: since the past 21 years have been no picnic, how will the next 21 play out?
In other words:
Luckily, a well-manicured young man in a tie came to my door brandishing literature directly addressing my doubts, complete with the above image on the cover. At first it only made me more nervous because I thought it was implying that the future belonged to a coming generation of genetic superfreaks who can hear my thoughts (creepy lil' fella ain't he? If you get up and move around his eyes will follow you around the room). But then I read on and learned that the future actually brings an everlasting paradise of love and happiness . . . y'know, once the war and pestilence and whatnot is over with (which I apparently will be spared just because I don't kiss dudes. For some reason the whole gay thing seems to be a real sore issue with the Almighty).
So after all that I went on with my day and it was alright. No problems at work, even though it was Wackadoo Wednesday (ok, there was one Wackadoo that had a bike helmet with these neon fabric spikes on it that he insisted made dogs bark at him. I think dogs just know crazy when they see it). Plenty of people wished me a happy bday, including the 2 hottest girls on the site, Pinkrocker and Sindri. And now I get to relax and amuse myself with writing silly blog posts . . . . . Not a bad day at all, peace
