I am glad that I can tell you guys a rescue kitten story that have a happy end.
This cute guy in the picture is my fur kid Kafka.
I was going home after work, a couple months ago, and I heard a loud meow close to a wasteland. I went there to see what it was, and this little guy came running with struggle in my direction. I caught him with the flannel that I was using and I saw that he had an awful cut in his belly, full of fly worms.
I don't know yet if his mommy abandoned him because of that, or if a human did it, but I was really afraid that in his condition he wasn't gonna to survive. I took him to the vet, and he told me that the cut wasn't deep, so he could maybe survive with a lot of love and care.
I start to feed him with a special milk for rescue kittens that the vet gave me, he was so weak that he couldn't keep his head up, he was always knocking his tiny nose on the floor. But in just a couple of days he was stronger and his cut was healing.
I try to give him to adoption, cause I have a dog who hates other animals, but I couldn't. I was afraid that other person would not give him the care that I was providing for little Kafka. So I did a research about dogs who learn how to live with cats, and I trained Eevee (my dog) so she would be able to live with him.
In a couple months they turn into best friends *-* and nap buddies <3
This is the evolution of this tiny and cute survivor, named after the author Franz Kafka, one of my boyfriend's favorite authors:
And how he is today:
