(contains spoilers) I'm a really big fan of cowboy bebop, and I was definitely waiting to see the adaptation that netflix would make. I must say I found the first few episodes tedious, I don't know if it's because I just watched the latest arcane eps, and there things happen all the time, and I ended up not slowing down to see cowboy bebop (maybe), but I found the beginning boring. I started to get more interested after the fifth/sixth ep, which is disappointing on a show that only has 10 eps. The way the actress played the faye was totally annoying, I think the actress didn't get the character's energy right. Jet's acting wasn't one of the best, I liked the actor, but he had to force jet's voice all the time and that was super obvious. To be honest, I don't think any of the characters had the same "feeling" as the anime. Julia wasn't too bad, until SHE was the one who ends the epic battle between Spike and Vicious, and SHE shoots Spike (WTF??) and SHE takes care of Vicious. Vicious has become a cliché asshole on the show, has gone from an epic, imposing foe to a guy with dad issues and fears he won't be enough all the time (which they insist on beefing up the entire show).
But wait, what the fuck was that Ed? ohh Ed, what have they done to you? and EIN, I don't even need to talk.
My final thoughts, the anime is rich in detail, the characters have grimaces and lines that you're surprised to hear, you're interested in knowing more about who they are, which doesn't happen in live action at all, they've cleaned up all the interesting details and relevant lines, the characters' personality doesn't fit, the actors are bad (especially faye), a cheap copy of what could have been a cowboy bebop live action, disappointing.I'm not going to say that I hated everything about the show, I liked a few points, and how some parts flowed well, but it wasn't enough to make the series good. 3/10

I was excited to see the show from the previews, but I also haven't seen the anime. I've enjoyed the show so far ( 4 episodes in) but I get that it's not true to the anime. It has created an interest to watch the anime. That being said, Arcane was AMAZING!! My daughter is into digital animation/video game design and we both loved it. I thought the animation was out of this world and the storyline was so enjoyable.
