ugh. ok i'm tired of being sick. i have been nursing a cold for almost a week now. ha.....nursing......that makes it sound like i'm nurtering it and trying to make it grow. quite the opposite. although it has just reduced itself to a cough. so i think it may be on the way out. and i usually only get sick once a year. and if this is it i'll be ok because it wasn't all that bad. just doesn't want to let go.
so i went to a halloween party on friday night. had a really good time and was able to meet some really cool people. but what's funny is, i went as shaggy from scooby doo. and to do that i had to shave off my mustache and sideburns for the total effect of the costume. and when i went to work saturday night i had many different reactions from my co-workers. some said it was cute, some said i look a lot younger, one person even had a hard looking me in the face to talk to me without laughing, and another said i look like i have no authority now (i'm not sure what that meant....maybe because state troopers have mustaches and they have authority?) and one more asked if that was why i took friday night off from work so that i could shave? so i can't decide if i should grow it back. it's been a couple years since i've changed the old facial hair. and my lip is getting used to being a little colder. i was thinking about growing a full beard this winter, maybe i'll wait another month and just grow everything out. hahaha that'll be funny
at least the weather was nice today. i was able to get out on the bike for probably one of the last times of the season. well.....without freezing my ass off. unfortunately i wasn't able to start riding till almost 3 because i had a full day at clinic. and since the sun now sets at a little after 5 i was only able to get out for a couple hours. got to see some of the nice fall foilage (yes i misspelled that on purpose......i thik it's funnier that way)
ok......enough rambling. hope everybody has a good halloween. anybody carve a pumpkin. i didn't this year so i found one and i'll leave you with this picture of it.

I'm sure my professor is going to be wondering where the hell I was since, even though I have missed only 2 classes all semester, they happened to have been days when people were giving presentations. Why should I be forced to sit through that crap?
