So, I'm thinking that spending a summer at a beach city sounds like a really good idea right now. Now, common sense would say that I would try for an NJ beach, but I just don't think that is a reality. For those of you who don't live in NJ and are wondering...yes, there are a ton of guidos at the shores of NJ. Now, some people may tell you that these are all New York trash who invade are lovely shores for the summertime. I'm not sure what the ratio is of NJ/NY guidos, all I know is I can't take them. Also, most NJ beached are ridiculously expensive; it's beyond my comprehension why this is. You can drive about 7 or 8 hours south and get a house thats 10 times as nice, and 1/3 of the price. Plus the beaches are much nicer, and the people...well...not so trashy. I loved staying in places like the Outer Banks, NC. However, I don't know if I would like it for an entire summer. It's a little too laidback for me. I am thinking possibly Ocean City, MD or maybe even a place like Myrtle Beach. I haven't been to a lot of these places in years, so I really don't remember exactly what they're like. I would like to be in somewhat of driving distance to NJ, but if I found an amazing place somewhere...I would make an exception. Ideally the city would a) be affordable to live in the heart of b) have a good nightlife c) no assholes. I'll need to do some research. Oh, maybe Virginia Beach too? Anyone done this before or have thoughts?
