So I seem to have found some sort of inspiration in the rap community. Not inspiration on how to live my life, of course, simply for blogging purposes. (There's something about me referring to myself blogging that makes my skin crawl) It just really interests me how simply retarded these rappers can be...time and time and time and time and time again. Now I don't know if the media chooses to ignore these things because of allegations of racism, which are bound to occur, or the fact that it is just assumed that these rappers will fuck up like this at least once a year. So, the one who really set me off this time was T.I. I don't know a hell of a lot about this guy, but it seems like your typical rapper. He started out selling drugs, and since he started to put out "music" we should consider him a respectable human being. It always amazes me that if this was a crack dealer from the streets who didn't become famous, the average person would probably want to see them thrown in prison for 50 years. Think about it, if a dope dealer acquires a good deal of money and says, hey, I'm getting out of the game and getting a real job...what would we say? Well, I think most would say, fuck that guy, how many people has he hurt, how many lives has he ruined, etc. However, these rappers who happen to make millions and millions still can't drag their stupid asses away from the life of crime. It really boggles the mind. Now, I know this has been occurring for quite some time, but I think this guy T.I. may have dropped to an all-time low. The man, who is probably worth many many millions, is arrested in 2007 for attempting to purchase machine guns and silencers. Let me say that again, because we aren't talking about a simple drug possession charge...SILENCERS AND MACHINE GUNS. Now that last time I checked, the only reason that you would need such things, is for murdering people. So, he will be at least punished by the courts, right? Oooooohhh, 1 year in prison? Of which I doubt he will serve it all. Not only this, but he is a convicted felon already! I have heard of hackers who were unsuccessful being sentenced to 10 years in prison. What the fuck kind of message is this? Who knows how many people these guns would have killed, or how many deaths he has been involved in. I doubt he just decided one day, years into his wealth and fame, to get into the business of buying death toys. But, we see these hypocrisies every day and it's nothing new. What is new, however, is that MTV has decided to give him his own show! They have decided to give him a platform to show us what a true thug he is! Wait, that's not right, it's a show on...HOW GREAT HE IS??? Apparently, T.I. has decided to show us what a humanitarian he is. He's going to be serving the community. You know, soup kitchens, helping at risk kids, the usual bullshit. Now, whoever thought this was a good idea should be fired, and or tarred and feathered. How in the fuck are you going to let a convicted felon, who is about to go to jail for a year, near kids? Furthermore, what weight does anything he says carry? The guy has never been able to live a life on the up and up. He was handed a fucking golden ticket out of a world of poverty, gangs, drugs, and violence...and he still can't stay away. How are you going to tell little Marcus that he needs to stay in school, and take your vitamins, when he has yet to prove he can even do it. And in the end, we know that this show has nothing to do with serving his community. This show only has to do with what most rappers know best, serving themselves. Truly, a new low.
