Yes but there comes a point in time where people must suck it up and move on... and now is that time. A better tomorrow can not be built if our time is spent in the past and that is exactly where it will be. The plebeians want revenge or justice as they like to call it but in truth he will not get any sort of punishment befitting of his crime because he is rich and white... oh yeah and the president! So to waste time and money, to create a media crap storm which would take focus off of the real issues at hand, this would be a crime far greater then the poor decisions and disregard for the law the president and his men stand accused of. Also lest we not forget the house and senate are equally to blame as well as the people of this country for not rising up against the tyranny they cry so adamantly about.
This is why I say you can not cater to the plebeians. They love to cry bloody murder yet stand around with their hands out pouting until their government takes care of them. They point the finger everywhere but towards the mirror.
Now could be a time of rebuilding and prosperity if we would just focus on how things can be better and not how they could have been better. There will be time to bring those who deserve punishment before the courts once the rebuilding process is in full swing.
As they say, a time and place for everything.
So you think he's right when he tells people that he's above the law. The point of democracy is that nobody's above the law, even the president. We concentrate on the past with every other trial because it sets a precedent for the future so it can't happen again. Thousands of deaths are not worth preventing?
As you know I believe right and wrong to be matters of perception that may go wherever they may. As such, currently if you are rich and white you are above most laws. As for trials setting a precedent for the future I have to disagree to their effectiveness and I only need point to history as my proof. This is not the first time nor will it be the last, this sort of thing happens fairly often all over the world and began the moment a second tribe was formed.
First, the house and senate are permutable things. It's a voting structure that I believe has been influenced for those votes. Crap storms should not be avoided for their own sakes. Don't you agree that they're sometimes necessary? Could this not be one of those times, where thousands of lives have been jeopardized and thousands more stand at risk?
Most every vote ever cast is influenced by something, by nature we can not decide without a point of reference even at random. So they are all still responsible for their votes. As it has come out over the past few years men like Richard Clark tried to tell people what was going on and they choose to follow another agenda. It's their fault for not following the advice of those who knew what was going on.
Now as far as media shit storms go NO the way the media is now if we started the machine up nothing constructive would get done. Our nation would be consumed by revenge, then scapegoats would be found, wild goose chases, misinformation campaigns, any truth of the matter would be buried even deeper. We can not go about this in the same manner we always have, it is time for a new way. The old way only means the same old outcome.
How are they responsible, exactly? Or do you think the people knew the hundred thousands of people would die in Iraq by voting in Bush? They knew that thousands of New Yorkers would likewise be killed? What other actions should they take or have taken? Again, I think this is one of those times where bloody murder is fair to cry.

The people can stop them and force them to their will at any time. This is why in the end they are all to blame for this, they have all allowed this to happen. Actions speak louder then words my friend, all the crying in the world will not change a single thing.
I say they because I personally don't care enough to change it. This point in history is no worse then any other point in history in which war was at hand. All I see is a loop, we may have advanced in many areas but humankind is basically living the same lives over and over again.
So you DO think they should be held accountable? Why would we allow for suffering to continue for two more years before we bring justice to those who have committed such grievous atrocities? I think it's been made clear that Bush has no intention of abating his military movements. You must believe he is repentant for the deaths he has caused for him to want to ameliorate the situation. I don't think there's any reason to believe that. If nothing is done, just like a rampaging murderer, the suffering will continue.
Yes I do, you know I believe EVERYONE should not only be held accountable but should hold themselves accountable for ALL of their actions. Humankind however is not ready for this nor may I witness it in this lifetime. Now as far as this war on terror goes, there is no going back. What many do not understand is that we must now stabilize that region or we will be attacked with a level of vengeance we have yet to see. What was done can not be undone except by one way and I do not see this happening. If we were to convict G.W, Cheney, Ashcroft, Rumsfeld, ect and send them to Iraq to be publicly hung then and only then do I believe we may be able to avoid being attacked again. However that is not only never going to happen but it is also no sure bet. They may still feel America must be stopped to prevent this from ever happening again.
