I don't understand why I'm constantly amazed at the sheer stupidity around me. I need to leave. I don't know where I can possibly go to get away from it. People are selfish, rude, ignorant, idiodic, mindless drones going about their lives ruled by either their libidos or wallets. There's absolutely no concern for neighbours or even quality of life. It's like they prefer to bathe in the filth of their pathetic indulgent lives.

I need to find a way to either get away from it or come to terms with it. I don't think either is possible.

of course it's just gimmicks stolen from other movies, that's the point...grindhouse cinema is a genre (70's exploitation films) hence the name, Grindhouse...not everyones cup of tea, it's pretty kitschy

One way to deal with it is the Crime and Punishment strategy - sure, their crime is to live selfish, tiny and petty lives filled with indefensible behaviour; that is also their punishement. The absolute key is to make sure that you don't let their flaws affect your quality of life. To even engage with them, or argue, brings you to their level for a while and so you lose.

Just keep some chill, do what you want to do and find people it's worth doing with. It doesn't matter whether it's right or wrong to do so - the simple fact is it is so, and your time is ticking away, so get on with the best you can damn well do!

(I used to feel what you feel, and have had this discussion with more than one amigo/ex)
