Today was awesome. Made some ground at the workplace. Started selling products I've not yet been able to close on, my piercings hurt much less, and most of all I picked up my shit and went down to see Bela Fleck and the Flecktones at Massey Hall.
Fuck, man. If you want to see musicians at their finest -- guys who are masters of their instruments playing very contemporary funk fusion -- they're the guys you want to see. Victor Wooten is easily the best technical bassist in the world, stretching the boundaries of what's possible on a bass. Not to mention Future Man on percussion. Most drummers can make their limbs move independently of each other. Each of this dude's fingers can move independently (on his Future Machine electric drum kit).
Victor's coming back to Toronto in November with his solo band. There's no chance I'm going to miss him then, either.
