True to her name, old Boheme is picking up again, off on new adventures. I have tendered my notice at my job in D.C., where I've churned out prose for a record sic (uh, [sic]: six) years, and I've taken a new gig in Baltimore. Now I have the summer to unload my house and find new digs for my elite cadre of nonhuman superanimals and myself. 
I lived my 20s in D.C. -- always take note of where you lived your 20s. Those sweet years are transcribed by geography as much as by love, identity, and noise. Don't we all want to go back to our 20s? Those of you still in your 20s -- dwell there sumptuously.
By leaving work in D.C. and life in VA, I close out 12 years of my life. Twelve years ago, I flew to D.C. from Sheffield, England, where I was finishing my bachelor's degree, to join the Community for Creative Non-Violence. I cut my activist teeth and eventually found a way that writing could mean power in the circles of agitation. Nothng can substitute direct action -- if performed in ways not already nullified by the police state's Civil Disobedience Units -- but if you can write your activism, you will kick some ass.
