and for all the catholic priests:
6) i'd rather be molesting little boys
tonight i watched a documentary about the first world war. it focused mainly on the wars that were being fought outside of europe, in places like africa and china. i was a bit surprised. i can't recall ever touching on any of it in high school.
many horrific slaughters and much pointless destruction.
i had to ask myself if human primates have ever engaged in anything other than killing, controlling and destruction, with such an extreme sense enthusiasm? and has anything ever been accomplished or pursued for any other reasons?
ever hear about the experiment involving a banana, a ladder, and a group of chimps?
four or five chimps are assembled in a room with a ladder that leads up to a banana hanging from the ceiling. also attached to the ceiling is a sprinkler filled with freezing cold water.
chimp number one climbs the ladder to get at the treat but before he can get it the sprinkler is turned on, chimps scream and scatter.
chimp number two then tries for the banana, same thing happens.
chimp number three, same thing.
when the fourth chimp goes for the banana, his buddies scream and beat him.
the water is turned off, then one chimp is removed, and replaced with a fresh chimp. he goes for the banana and is beaten down by the others.
the process is repeated, replacing the original chimps with fresh ones, until none of the originals remain. however, they still beat the fresh chimps when ever they go for the banana, even though none of them have ever been sprayed...
