I did something crazy today. I guess it isn't, as lots of people do it every day. But shit, this is my blog - so you will get to hear about it.
I bought a vehicle. I have been actively searching for a few weeks - but having shitty luck. Today I happened upon exactly what I wanted. After all the test driving, and all the slimy sales guys - I found it! It even had a few things I had not been looking for, that just happen to be great.
I was sitting on the phone in the dealership talking to my new insurance agency (another story), and a man walks into the dealership and asks the receptionist if she knows who owns the green ford ranger in the lot. I happen to be sitting within earshot and motion to the man that I do. He say it while driving by and wanted to know if I was interested in selling it. I have *just* finished the paperwork on my new(er) truck, and someone is asking to buy my old one from me. I was considering calling the kidney foundation to take the truck...
It's like it was fate..and I don't believe in predetermination.
In the end I sold it to him for a steal - it needed some TLC for sure (I was extremely honest, and I got him to drive it around without me so he could really try it out). I agreed to the sale and was invited over for a beer (this man must have been in his late 60s). Turns out he and his wife own one of the best bits of land in the city - right on the river valley. He cut me a cheque, I signed over the old truck, and wrapped up a whirlwind day.
Now, for some porn.
