Went to Ribs and Rumps in Manly on Saturday with a couple of mates - AWESOME FEED! If you're vegan or veggie probably best not to try this place!
We went to the Ivanhoe bar afterwards to warm into the night, was all good until a bartender decided to only serve chicks at the bar and avoid the guys who had been waiting for 10 minutes. I let a couple go out of politeness (aprox the 5min mark) then I started to lose my shit! I tried to civilly communicate my angst, he dealt with this poorly....Hence me creating a bit of a scene....he grudgingly served me but after that round we were done with that place!!
We went to a place called the Boatshed. GOOD TIMES!!
No pretentious people no fakeness, just good live music in a low key underground spot.
The night got progressively more awesome as the place got packed and danced together.
Thanks to the cover band that played a really wicked set that night, every time I hear Foster The People's "Call it What You Want", I just start dancing! (averagely, to be fair) fuck I'm loving that tune!!
Must be because it reminds me of a good night - Thanks Boatshed.
