Here's a new poem I wrote for a girl I like who just got dumped (again.) I don't know if we will ever get together--she lives quite a ways away from me...
For Kim
By Michael S. Walker
What do you want from me
Lows the Mad Cow
Bumping out of people
Who want only to milk her
And cut her
Stick her into spaces
Small and unseemly.
What do you want from me
When all you talk is love
All you lovers
All you conquerors of the commons
There is nothing left
But bones and fences
Telegraphing
Over and over
The shoddy past
The fallow future
There is nothing left
For these wide eyes to look at...
What do you want from me
Lows the Mad Cow
Lowering her head again,
I want love too
Youre right
Thats what I want.

I agree, wasn't meaning to sound like i was putting anyone down, just a little mind boggling is all!
